Being one with the fishes at Acquario di Livorno. Livorno is a small beach town close to Pisa. Alex, Ashton, and I hopped on a train this morning and checked it out. The aquarium was packed with families trying to avoid the stormy day outside. Livorno itself was the opposite--a little desolate! We struggled to find an open restaurant for lunch. A shortage of restaurants in Italy? Say what? Otherwise, it was a great day. The beach was lined with characteristic Etruscan pebbles and the water was filled with the most adorable single-person sail boats. I love the spontaneity of day trips!
