April 23

My 100th post is dedicated to my Italian professor, Daniele. Not that I would ever pick favorites when it comes to my professors, butttttttt if I had to choose, Daniele would take the cake. Doesn't he just ooze coolness? I will have you know that behind that sly smile of his lies a tongue ring. Yes, you read right. I appreciate his desire to always shake things up in class, mostly for his own, egomaniac enjoyment. My essay for my Italian midterm? Write about what you think I do on the weekend. Class assignment on adjectives? Write a story about me and my girlfriend. He gives the greatest impressions--my favorite being the study abroad girly-girl speaking Italian, closely followed by the Italian preschooler. We had to take this photo 3 times because the first he didn't like his smile, the second made him look too short, and finally he approved of the third. Through all of his craziness, I have learned an incredible amount of Italian in such a short period of time. I credit Daniele with my ability to navigate the cities and peoples of Italy. Grazie, Daniele.
