What is it about uniforms that look more like Lego characters than police officers that just screams authority? I have alluded to the hilarious police costumes--oh I mean uniforms--on the blog before. Don't they look like they bought them from Party City for Halloween? These officers casually stroll the streets of Florence. The only times I have seen the officers spring into action is to help a confused tourist with an outstretched map. Perhaps I should be comforted in the fact that the city does not feel the need for a more military-esque police force, but for now I will laugh.
