Look who the cat dragged in! Russell arrived today. He made last minute plans to come to Florence after his mandatory parachute team spring break at West Point was canceled last minute. He somehow kept his eyes open for the afternoon and we walked around Florence. We asked a woman at the Ponte Vecchio to take our photo. She had never used an iPhone before and we were left with a horribly off-centered picture where Russell looked as angry as a serial killer and I had my eyes closed. We were cracking up. Russell got very acquainted with the local Chianti and had a serious case of red wine mouth by the end of the night. We grabbed panini at The Oil Shoppe for lunch and had an incredible dinner at Acqua al Due. We ordered a salad sampler, pasta sampler, and dessert sampler. I left with a big smile on my face and a full belly. It is such a treat to have him here!
