After dropping out bags at our apartment, Kelsey--my roommate at UNC and now my roommate in Florence--and I set out to explore. After a lunch (breakfast to us?) of zucchini omelets and bean soup at the market, we self-toured (student budget!) the Duomo--the church that's huge and marks the middle of the city.
